One of week of training camp down, this week has been one of growth and sweet time with the Lord. There has been so much change from my normal routine, which calls me into a deeper reliance on the Lord.

As I’ve been working through adjusting to training camp and all that brings, and accepting that I really am leaving home for 11 months — the Lord has been so faithful. He has brought me comfort and peace, along with community to come alongside me. The Lord has made it so evident that He wants to be my comforter, as 2 Corinthians 1:3-7 says that He does.

The Lord has shown me His character and called me to reflect on my heart and its condition. He has revealed that there was hardness that I needed to surrender to Him. I am surrendering my idea of what life “should” look like after graduating and pressing into where the Lord has me right now. I am surrendering the wounds that I’ve been carrying and trusting the Lord will heal me.

As I’m working through all the Lord is bringing up in me, I invite you to do the same in yourself — to take a good look at your heart. Ask the Lord to reveal your heart condition as Psalm 139:23-24 says, “Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” This bold prayer is what I will continue praying this week and has the potential to change the way that I live (and you as well, if you choose to ask the Lord for more).

The Lord has done so much in the past week and I can’t wait to see what He is going to do in the next 7 days before we leave for Guatemala. I am expectant and eagerly waiting for the Lord to show up!
