Wow, my first blog post! I am so excited to be sharing my journey and my story on here!

So the question, why World Race? There's a variety of reasons that I am choosing this route for the next year of my life, the primary reason is that I believe this is where the Lord is calling me to go.

I am about to graduate for Grand Canyon University and I have been studying Worship Arts for the past (almost) four years. I have loved my time at GCU and the Lord has taught me so many things in this season. Through out the past few years, I have been able to deepen my understanding of worship and what worship ministry looks like; I have been able to determine my personal philosophy of worship and deepen my faith as I deepen my understanding of who the Lord is. The Lord redefined my identity in who He tells me that I am; rather than who I can make myself to be or who the world tells me that I am. In this time, I have begun to learn what the Lord's voice sounds like and been shown the kindness and generosity of experiencing the Lord.

These experiences have set me up to be attuned to the Lord and to experience His Spirit consistently through the grace that was given by Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. As I have grown in listening to the Lord and connecting with Him, He has asked me to do different things in different seasons of my walk with Him. He asked me to pursue the major that I am in, He asked to pursue a season of intentional singleness to grow closer to Him in different spiritual practices (such as fasting, prayer, journaling, etc.), among many other things. These things that I said yes to, enabled the Lord to do more work in me and enabled me to show others His goodness thereby bringing Him ALL the glory. I have seen the Lord meet me where I'm at and change who I am fundamentally -- reviving my heart and showing me the depths of His kindness and grace when I am unable to measure up the way that I aspire to.

All of these lessons and seasons, pointed me towards the Lord and prepared me for seasons to come. The Lord has shown His faithfulness to me and that He will be good in every season -- even the future seasons that have many unknowns. Through going on the World Race, the Lord will be able to show me who He is and in turn who I am in Him. Most importantly, I will get to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the communities I am serving. The Lord has asked me to trust Him and to take this step in faith that He will be working and that He will provide for my needs. The Lord is faithful and consistent and I am so excited to see where this journey takes me -- the Lord is going to do so many great things.
